“hey, chill out! i just saw the smoke from your fire and was curious.”

“Goodness gracious—” Aurora huffed (she might’ve laughed had she not suffered a near heart attack a few seconds ago). “Maybe a give me a ‘hello’ next time, alright?” She suggested while lowering the branch she nearly smacked him in the face with.
“I may be dumb, but I’m not stupid!”
The adrenaline was still rushing through him, making his voice just a bit too shrill. “What ef ye’d been a murderer or sumthin’.”
A pause, his eyes focusing on the branch for a moment. “..ye’re not a murderer, right?”
The blonde let out a soft sigh, spreading her arms. “Do I look like a murderer to you?” Aurora asked calmly, trying to assure him there was nothing to be afraid of, although she could understand why he was being so cautious. The forest was quite scary after dark.
“Are you cold? Do you want to come sit by the fire?”

send “ look at me. “ for my muse’s reaction to yours grabbing mine by the chin and forcing mine to look at them during a tense / highly emotional moment.

“Oh shoot - sorry, didn’t think anyone was going to be here.” Mostly because it’s pretty late and most people are out partying somewhere around this time. Why is Eddie here? Well, he’d originally come to chill and smoke, but seeing as he seems to have found company - who knows? He’d startled her for sure too. Having stepped on a small branch and it snapping. “Didn’t mean to scare you.” Though she’d startled him pretty good too. Likely a bit jumpy over already being high and happening upon someone unexpectedly.
“No, it’s okay — “ She chuckles nervously, still slightly taken aback by his presence. Of course, it’s not like Aurora alone knew about Skull Rock - it was a popular spot for people their age, whether they came to just be at peace, make out or do something they shouldn’t - but like Eddie, she had assumed everyone else had something far more interesting to do on a Friday night. “I’m sorry, do you want me to leave, or…?” After all, there’s forest all around. She could always find her own little rock to sit on and wind down.

Bruises and Bruising
@rosydreamiing said: [stay] – sender offers receiver a place to stay, so that – wherever they got these bruises – they don’t have to go back. @ Billy ;–;
One would have thought that something so horrible happening to him and his surviving would have maybe opened his father’s eyes, gotten him to at least try to get the fuck over himself. But even as Billy was in the hospital in poor condition? His father had been more than cruel, blaming him for stress put on the family instead.
It didn’t stop upon his release. Max’s mother divorced his father so at least they’re out of the fire - even if they’re stuck living in a trailer now. It’s better than living with his dad, right? At least Billy thinks so. Especially when his and his father’s interaction had become purely violent in nature. He couldn’t take it. Couldn’t take the fights anymore - he’s fucking tired and has had more than enough. Definitely with their last fight; Ending with both of them covered in various bruises among other things.
After this fight? Billy decided enough was enough - packed his shit in his car to go who the fuck knows where. Not out of Hawkins, but he just wants to get away from his father. Feel some kind of freedom despite the fact he’s doomed himself to living out of his car. That is, until a familiar face has stumbled upon him. Unsurprisingly, the same spot that they’d met at. Only this time is condition is awful; A bruise along his right eye and cheek bone, various other bruises that were surely forming and darkly among a busted lip.
Before Billy knows it, he’s being offered a place to stay. It felt like a form of pity. At least that’s what his brain tells him. “Feel that bad for me, huh?” A soft huff escapes him followed by a small shake of his head. “I’m not going back anyways - no need to go offering something like that.”
So you’d rather live in your car, Billy? Is that it? Than just swallow your pride for five damn seconds and accept help. Not that she knows he’d be living out of his car. She’s better off not knowing.
“I’m not sure.” Yes you are, silly girl. “All I know is, if you leave… everything will be even worse than it was before.” It sounds stupid, for sure, but there is no easier way to say it. Aurora knows getting too sappy would just make him uncomfortable. Much to her relief, it seems like Billy’s changed his mind. She accepts his conditions with a soft chuckle, a bit embarrassed by her own persistency; of course, Aurora is fine with him sleeping wherever he’s comfortable, the couch, the floor, as long she’s still going to see him when morning comes.
When his arm wraps around her frame, the blonde tiptoes almost instinctively, leaning against his chest. It is new and a bit unexpected of him, yet she doesn’t complain. Her face is warm and definitely red, but still… this feels nice.
“Okay.”
She eventually pulls away, ready to leave with him. Looking up at Billy, Aurora has to remind herself not to wince at Neil’s handiwork all over his features. “Does it hurt a lot?” Of course, it wouldn’t be the first time she’s offered to tend to his wounds - but perhaps it will be the last.
Her words are a foreign language to him. For him to be gone would make her life worse? Brows furrow, Billy not exactly knowing what to do with this sort of information. So much so that he doesn’t comment on it. He, of course, does notice her moving closer with his arm about her waist, however. He’s not stupid. He’s gather Aurora is into him already. Or at least that’s what he’s gathered.
Thoughts are interrupted as she pulls away and is suddenly asking him about his injuries. “Like a bitch.” He’s honest, though his tone is more playful in attempt to stray from the strange sense of awkwardness that’s fallen upon him. An unfamiliar feeling. “My car is nearby; We can get to your place that way.” And he’s already leading her off that way now.
It’s hard to put into words. She wants to be there for him, wants to give him things… even if it’s just empathy and understanding. It seems to Aurora like he has been without those for the best part of his life, and although times haven’t been very kind to her either, the girl still feels bad for him. Guess that’s why, as she follows Billy to his car and takes a seat, Aurora is already wondering about all the ways to make him feel better.
“I was thinking — “ She begins shyly. “Once we get those cuts cleaned up… I could make us something to eat.” Is she being desperate again? “You could tell me what you like, we could rent a video or something…” Aurora pauses for a moment, looking down at the tips of her shoes. “Just forget about everything bad for a while, you know.”
